Simply Education has launched a new initiative ‘Simply Giving’ to benefit local schools in the area. Simply Giving is a new scheme designed to donate pre-loved books and DVDs to schools in need across England.
Hollie Murtagh, MD at Simply Education, said: “We found we had shelves of books collecting dust along with stacks of old DVDs cluttering up our cupboards at home. The idea of Simply Giving was born out of the desire to give a new life to these pre-loved items by gifting them to schools that need more resources in their libraries and classrooms.”
“Additionally, Simply Giving hopes to help the environment by encouraging the re-use of items. Millions of tonnes of waste is sent to landfill in the UK every year. By giving a new life to pre-loved books and DVDs, schools can enjoy resources that would otherwise have been thrown away.
