An Education Endowment Foundation study shows that there is a ‘best way’ to use TA’s skills to support learning, and a least productive way (which is quite common in schools!). We discuss how TAs should be employed to help pupils learn best and retain what they learn through and how to structure their briefing and debriefing for maximum impact.
