After a seven week momentous cycling challenge, Simply Education are pleased to announce we have raised a fantastic £1050 for Sport Relief. A huge thank you to all those who donated. The money really will help those unprivileged people both in the UK and worldwide.
For those who have been keeping up with the updates of our Sport Relief challenge, via our blog, you will know that on Monday 7th March, we surpassed our 500 miles target, but with the battle for the Yellow Jersey and Team Race still very much up for grabs, it was decided to continue for the full 50 days. By the end of the event, Team Simply cycled a superb 5301 miles, which is a truly remarkable effort for all of those involved.
The winner of the Yellow Jersey, was Tom Griffiths with a final total of 896 miles beating Adam Cook by 68 miles. However, Adam restored a little bit of glory, by leading his Nottingham Team to a great victory of 297 miles over Team Cardiff.
Although, we have now completed our challenge, Sport Relief is set to be held between 18th and 20th March, so why not get involved and donate to the cause. If you have been inspired by our journey, then please donate whatever you can at https://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/simplyeducation
