High expectations are in place for the student’s behaviour and attitude towards learning, consequently, there is minimal behavioural issue. The school has capacity for 68 pupils, aged 5-18 years old. The school prides itself on offering a child centred learning approach that focuses on the child’s needs. Additionally, all children are offered a varied, interesting, and inspiring curriculum with a focus on vocational and well-being subjects as well as academic subjects. The school is currently undergoing modification of their school grounds with the addition of a wonderful outdoor learning facility which includes chickens and guinea pigs that the students have full responsibility to care for. Additionally, there is outdoor sports facilities including a basketball court, football pitch and playing field. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will work collaboratively to support students to build their resilience, self-worth, and ability to manage and self-regulate their own feelings. Consequently, their children become confident, contributing members of society who go on to become successful adults, leading happy lives. The students and staff work collaboratively to create an appealing learning space and reflection area. One of the school’s regulation stations is themed as the north pole and creates a safe space in the form of an igloo where the students can have the time and space they need. The setting provides students with both vocational and academic qualifications that best prepare their students for life beyond the classroom. Additionally, the school prides itself in creating a learning environment the students can be proud of with access to indoor games and an extensive outdoor area students can access throughout the day.
