1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant Needed at SEMH School

We are seeking a patient, empathetic 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to a student with significant social, emotional, and mental health challenges. If you are dedicated to empowering students facing personal struggles, we want to hear from you!

As our 1:1 TA, you will:

- Provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to a SEMH pupil throughout the school day to enable their success.

- Help implement personalized strategies, therapies, and interventions tailored to the student's specific needs.

- Build a strong mentoring bond through active listening, encouragement, and emotional support.

- Promote the student's confidence, resilience, communication skills, and independence.

- Closely track progress and collaborate with counsellors and parents to adapt supports.

- Maintain detailed records on behaviours, interventions, goals, and progress.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Experience providing 1:1 SEMH support to children or young adults.

Strong empathy, patience, communication skills, and problem-solving aptitude.

- In-depth knowledge of emotional, behavioural, and social challenges faced by SEMH students.

- Commitment to nurturing mental health and personal growth in exceptional students.
