Primary Teaching Assistant – Children's Mental Health Specialist
Full-Time/Part-Time
Hours: 8.30-3.30
Location: Chester
Pay: £75 to £80 per day
Start date: November 2023
The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with children with social, emotional, and mental health challenges, the schools are wanting a consistent and versatile teaching assistant who can accommodate the needs of the young child. The ideal person will be able to build strong relationships with children, help personalise the work to motivate and engage the children in the classroom.
You will be based in a resource provision supporting students to access the work set out by the class Teachers. You will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to enable you to best support the children you will be working with. To be successful in this role the key requirements are patience and consistency, you will be supporting students to keep them on task and allowing the children to feel comfortable within school and grow their character.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a positive attitude and approach towards children and learning.
A great work ethic.
A genuine passion for education.
6+ months experience would be ideal however any experience will be considered.
An understanding of SEND.

Proof of ‘Right to Work in the UK’
10-year checkable work/education history.
