Position: Fully Qualified Teacher (SEND)

Location: NN3

 

We are super excited to be looking for a Fully Qualified Teacher to join a dedicated SEND school catering to learners aged 7-16 years with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, speech, language, and communication difficulties, and associated behavioural challenges. The school is committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment for both students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment, particularly with children who have behavioural difficulties. This role involves full planning, preparation, and marking responsibilities, starting as a long-term placement with the potential for a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.

Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and address diverse learning needs.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports.

Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT) status.

Proven experience working in a SEN environment, ideally with children with behavioural difficulties.

Strong understanding of autism, learning difficulties, and communication challenges.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
