Job Title: Learning Mentor
Location: Chester
Salary: £12.82 - £14.61 dependent on payrol selection at interview
Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday - Term Time only
Passionate Learning Mentors required to work in Partnership with Simply Education who are supporting a wonderful Autism residential school in Chester City Centre. The school are looking for passionate Learning Mentor who have prior SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) experience to join their team in September on a full-time basis. The school has recently acquired a new property meaning they can now accept more pupil referrals for September.
As a Learning Mentor you will work alongside students and staff to ensure the child’s emotional and academic needs are met. Students all have an EHC Plan in place and have a main diagnosis of Autism, however many students have other additional needs as well. As a Learning Mentor you will be working on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis dependent on the students' needs.
The school itself is a Grade II* listed buildings dating back to 1754. The school has kept many of the buildings originally features, providing their students with a learning environment that they can be proud of. Students are aged between 4 – 19 years and have the opportunity to access vocational study options as well as developing their life skills through trips and workshops and work experience. Additionally, the school is residential, so students stay on site.
