Job Vacancy: Mathematics Teacher (Secondary)

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Contract: Full-Time

Description of the Role:

Simply Education are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring their academic progress while fostering a positive, inclusive, and challenging learning environment. Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality mathematics lessons that cater to the needs of all students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs.

- Foster a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to develop both academically and personally.

- Monitor and track individual student progress, ensuring interventions are put in place where necessary to support their development.

- Promote high standards of behavior, engagement, and achievement across all lessons.

- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and resource planning.

- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and offer support where necessary.

- Attend school events, staff training, and professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practice.

- Maintain accurate records of student performance and participate in regular assessments and reporting.

Applicant Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching mathematics in a secondary school setting (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).

- Strong knowledge of the secondary mathematics curriculum and teaching strategies that support student achievement.

- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

- A passion for teaching mathematics and inspiring students to excel in the subject.

- The ability to engage, motivate, and support students of varying abilities.

- Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
