SEMH School 

Primary Teacher 

Starting in September 2021

Simply Education are working in partnership with a SEMH School on the outskirts of Derby they are looking appoint a Primary Teacher  on a temporary to permanent contract in September. You would be working via Simply Education for 3 months and then after that period taken on a permanent contract with the school.  This a great opportunity either a newly qualified teacher or experienced teacher who is looking to make that transition into working with SEN children. 

The school support pupils who are 8-16 years and can find mainstream education a challenge. They provide the pupils a nurturing environment that focuses on their academic skills, valuable life skills in a incredible setting. 

Due to the growing number of referrals they are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher for a small class of four to five pupils to deliver a KS2 curriculum. You will be supported with a teaching assistant  in your class to be on hand to support you in your teaching delivery , and a senior management team who have over 25 years experience in working with pupils with additional needs.

Your main role will be to provide a safe and positive learning environment and to work with other staff to enhance the development and education of pupils . For this position you don't need any SEN experience it would be desirable however the most important factor is your ability to encourage a positive learning environment for children to learn and great relationship building strategies.
