Residential Support Worker for Children - Residential Childcare Practitioner  - Congleton 

Part time permanent contracts and full time contracts available

Simply Education have been approached by an Outstanding Care and Education Company who focused on making a difference to young people’s lives.

My clients provides bespoke packages of care, education and therapy for young people with, complex social and emotional needs and complex behavior’s. Their aim is to provide an outstanding holistic service of care and education within a therapeutic environment.

This Care and Education Company understand the importance of being flexible with hours in order to fit around family commitments. They offer part time permanent contracts with five 16 hour shifts per month and full time permanent contracts with two to three 16.5 hour shifts per week. In this position there is scope to do overtime as you wish.

Job description

As a committed childcare practitioner, you’ll ensure that safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision made. You will understand that creating a safeguarding culture in our homes is your responsibility and will be able to challenge when things are not okay.

You will want to play an active part in creating a caring, safe, fun and enriching environment for our young people. You will promote educational achievement or the young people that you look after.

You will work hard to create and sustain positive and trusting relationships with the young people that will promote their sense of security.

You will be a strong advocate for the young people that you look after including helping them to share their views and wishes and supporting them to make complaints if needed.

As a dedicated practitioner, you will take pride in your home ensure that it is a safe and welcoming environment, actively promote a healthy lifestyle and support young people to achieve their personal best.

You understand the need to provide clear and safe boundaries and be a positive role model for young people and the teams you work in.

To support young people in transitions to and from the home and support the development of positive memories.

You will show your organisational skills by completing all plans and reports in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualified to level 3 in Health and Social Care

Full manual driving license
