Simply Education are recruiting on behalf of a SEND School in Hanley who are looking to appoint a Science Teacher.
This brilliant opportunity has arisen due to growing numbers of referrals the school has been presented with over the last few months. This school are looking to open additional classes.
This school is independent specialist school that specialize in educating young people aged 11 to 16 years, the pupils that attend may have faced difficulties as a result of complex communication needs typically associated with social and emotional needs.
This provision is a special school which focus’ on children with mental health difficulties, giving them a safe space to learn, where they feel secure, protected and ready to embrace their education. Though academic progress is very important, they place an extensive emphasis on personal, social and emotional development which forms the basis of all they do through the school.
You role would be working full time Monday to Friday term time only supporting a small class of pupils from Year 7 to Year 11.

What do you need?
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education. (ECT status also accepted)
- Great communication skills and a calm classroom management style
- Willing to learn new strategies and participate in training to further your career in working with pupils with SEN.
- Real passion for education and learning.
- Adaptable and reliable.
- Flexible and confident individual, who has a creative approach to teaching.
