Permanent Position starting April 2021

Simply Education are working with a fantastic SEMH School in Bilston who are looking to recruit an SEMH Teacher to teach a different subjects to a small class of 4-6 pupils from April 2021.

 This would be on a permanent contract and an opportunity to join a growing specialist school trust.

This provision support students from 11- 16 year olds who can find mainstream education a challenge. The role will include working full time, 5 days a week term time only. You will have ample of support and resources to help provide classroom learning and life skills to students.

The students that will be attending with a range of emotional needs and complex behaviour. This setting is very similarly to working in a pupil referral unit (PRU) so the class sizes are small with only four to five students supported with two to three teaching assistants. This will give you the ability to really focus on giving these students the one to one support they need.

The successful candidate will be degree educated or have recent experience teaching English to KS3 and KS4. Although experience is preferable, the school are also happy to consider NQTs providing they match all other criteria. We are searching for someone with a real passion for teaching, and someone who can bring a high level of enthusiasm to the classroom.

 

We are looking for someone who.

• Has strong classroom management skills

• Has recent experience teaching English.

• Has excellent knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Curriculum.

• Can promote cultural development.

• Has great communication and lesson delivery skills.

• Can prepare lesson plans.

• Experience with online teaching is preferred but not necessary.
