SEMH Teacher - Northampton
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional teacher to join our successful Northampton school supporting students aged 5-16 years with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. We are looking for someone passionate about nurturing the wellbeing and development of vulnerable pupils.
As SEMH Teacher, you will:
Create engaging lesson plans tailored to different learning abilities
Employ positive behaviour strategies to support students
Promote self-esteem, resilience, and relationship-building
Implement therapeutic interventions where required
Track student progress and liaise with families
Collaborate with the SENCO and multi-disciplinary team
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience and training in SEMH-related pedagogy
Demonstrate emotional intelligence and sensitivity
Be creative and adaptable in their teaching approach
Have excellent behaviour management skills
Believe in fostering inclusion, growth, and independence
