Simply Education are delight to working alongside a Primary School based in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent who due to continued development are looking to appoint a new Special Educational Needs support worker. If appointed you will assisting students within their inclusion and behaviour team. You main responsibility will be to Work with their Lead Learning Mentor, you will work flexibly across the school to promote positive behaviour strategies and support individuals facing particular challenges.

Main Requirements Include:

* Understand the principles of child development, learning processes and barriers to learning

* Be aware of the causes of behavioural difficulties

* Understand the importance of confidentiality

* Be able to plan and implement (under guidance) effective strategies for pupils with behavioural, emotional, social needs, at risk of underachieving/disaffection or exclusion

* Be able to work as a member of a team, developing good working relationships with pupils and adults

* Be an excellent practitioner

* Be adaptable and spontaneous

* Be able to communicate well with children, teachers and parents
