Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Coventry, UK
Salary: £20,000+ (TBC based on experience)
Contract: Temporary with potential for permanent appointment
Start Date: Immediate

Join this dynamic SEMH School in Coventry, which has been providing a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs for the past year. Many of the students have faced exclusion or extended periods out of education, but with the tailored approach, they re-engage in learning and thrive. As a foundational member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students and the school itself.
Key Responsibilities:
Build Relationships: Quickly establish strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
Adapt Curriculum: Tailor the national curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our learners.
• Support Learning: Translate learning outcomes for students with various challenges.
• Provide Assistance: Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Foster Inclusion: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate: Work closely with teachers and other staff members to support student progress.
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualifications: CACHE/NVQ Level 2 or 3, or HLTA certification. Unqualified Teaching Assistants will be considered with appropriate previous SEN experience.
• Experience: Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and its adaptation for SEN students.
• Agility: Ability to be responsive to the needs of pupils.
• Empathy: Understanding of the challenges faced by our students.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills.
