Role Overview: We are seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join a fantastic SEMH School. As a foundational member of the school, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students and the school itself. The school itself, based in Coventry, has been open for one year and is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Many of the students have faced exclusion or extended periods out of education, but with our tailored approach, they re-engage in learning and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils quickly.

Adapt the national curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our learners.

Understand and translate learning outcomes to students with various challenges.

Provide support to pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support student progress.

Requirements:

Qualified TA with CACHE/NVQ Level 2 or 3, or HLTA certification.

Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and its adaptation for SEN students.

Ability to be agile and responsive to the needs of pupils.

Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by our students.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
