Salary: £15,000 - £17,500

Simply Education is working in partnership with a small, supportive alternative education centre for learners aged 11 to 16-years-old who need additional behavioural, emotional or medical support. The school is very family orientated and have a flexible and nurturing atmosphere which helps learners overcome barriers to learning and progress to a positive next step in their lives.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will be one who is very nurturing with the ability build relationships with pupils. Knowing every day might be different being adaptive and re-active is a very important. The pupils need a Teaching Assistant they can trust and connect with as well as someone who will guide and nurture them. No experience as a Teaching Assistant is needed. Full training is given to successful candidates.
The ideal teaching assistant will have the following attributes:
- Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with young people
- Can communicate effectively with young people
- Change activities to meet the needs of the students you are working with
- Able to read body language and moods
- Think on your feet
- Contribute to child development plans
- Take part in extracurricular activities
- Have a positive approach to learning
