Simply Education - SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Simply Education is seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a primary school in Grantham with an immediate, or September start.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one support to students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioral challenges.

Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual student needs.

Occasional group work, fostering collaboration and peer learning.

Implementing personalized educational plans and monitoring student progress.

Creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of individual learners.

A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn new techniques and strategies.

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday), but part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
