Simply Education are proud to be working in partnership with a Primary School in Holmes Chapel who are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in their Resource Provision.

The provision is committed to inclusion, ensuring a broad and balanced curriculum for all of the children within the school. It was created to provide specific and tailored support for each individual child.

Days: Monday to Friday (term-time only)

Hours: 08:30-15:30

Pay: £70.00 per day

Start date: January 2022

End date: Summer 2022 (potential to be extended)


As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for supporting children in the schools resource provision. This will involve working 1 to 1 or 1-2 with students. The support will focus around developing students communication needs.


The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism.

Good understanding of phonics.

Working knowledge of PECS and other communication aides.

Have at least 6 months experience working within a UK based school.

Be Qualified Teaching Assistant level 1, 2 or 3 - Unqualified will be considered in some circumstances

A great work ethic.

Positive mind-set towards supporting children with autism and high needs.

Calm, empathetic and understanding are the key qualities to be successful in this role.

Proof of ‘Right to Work in the UK’.

10 year checkable work/education history.

All candidates who register with Simply Education will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
