Simply Education are currently working with a school in the Crewe area, we have been working with the school for a while and strong relationship with them. Over the years we have placed a high number of permanent staff and the school are looking for another Teaching Assistant to join the team after the half term.
What does this role involve and how can I support it?
The most important part of the role is building relationships with the students, when they are comfortable with the people around them they then flourish, a trusting and open person is ideal for this role.
The school are very proud of all of their students, students in the school are working towards their GCSEs but just require some extra support and TLC
The school provides a breakout area for students to go and work if they are struggling in the classroom, this gives them a chance to be able to focus more without the distraction in the classroom.
Your role would be to support students during lessons to help break down activities into small personable and manageable chunks, the class teachers and teaching assistants all work together to support students.
The best way to support students is to let them talk through the work with you so they can pick out what they have to do and discuss it with you, looking at the different ways to complete activities in order to do their best.
Simply Education are now able to offer free training courses which specifically look at supporting students with Autism and SEND, the course will be run by our professional development team and so fat the course has had 100% course to job success.
