Location: Winsford, Cheshire

Position: Teaching Assistant (Special Needs)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

 

Simply Education is delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful, Ofsted Outstanding Special Needs School in Winsford. Oaklands School is a nurturing, child-centred environment, dedicated to helping pupils aged 11 to 17 with moderate learning difficulties thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver bespoke learning sessions tailored to the individual needs of a small group of 6-7 pupils.

- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

- Support pupils in their day-to-day learning, helping them to overcome challenges and succeed to the best of their ability.

- Contribute to creating a safe, happy, and nurturing learning environment.

 

About You:

- Prior experience working with children is essential.

- Experience working with special needs children is desirable but not essential – full training and support will be provided.

- A positive, patient, and empathetic approach with the ability to build rapport with students.

- A commitment to working full-time, Monday to Friday.

- A level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare
