Teaching Assistant or Educational Advocate
Simply Education are working in partnership with a SEND School based in Marple They are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to educating pupils with Social and Emotional needs and find the mainstream education a challenge.
The School is a small SEND School with around 25 pupils on role, They are Secondary Pupils between the age of 11- 16 years. They believe in having very small class sizes with no more than 4 in a class. The see that this gives them the opportunity to create a nurturing inclusive environment which supports the students both academically and emotionally on their journey through education.
The Teaching Assistant Position would be a full time role working Monday to Friday term time only from 8:30 am until 4pm. For this position the school are not necessarily looking for someone who has worked in a School setting before although that would be desirable, what they are looking for most importantly is someone who can have a positive impact on them and encourage pupils to learn.

- Experience with working with young people
- Looking to support a develop pupils with additional learning needs.
- Clear communication both written and verbal
- Be willing to learn
- Have a positive and creative approach in dealing with behaviour
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
