1:1 SEN TA
Are you an experienced TA with SEN experience, looking for an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate? Simply Education is working with a school, who are looking to appoint a SEN TA, starting in immediately until the end of the academic year. This is a full-time, long-term position.
Roles and responsibilities
Provide individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-to-one setting.
Implement strategies outlined in the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) to meet their specific learning goals and needs.
Assist the student in understanding and completing classroom assignments and activities.
Adapt and modify teaching materials and resources to suit the student's learning style and abilities.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where the student feels comfortable and empowered to participate.
Requirements
Relevant education and qualifications, such as a high school diploma or equivalent.
Specialised training or certification in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), or a willingness to undergo such training.
Patience and resilience to handle challenging behaviours and situations in a calm and professional manner.
Ability to follow instructions and implement strategies outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or other support plans.
An Enhanced DBS.
