Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a reputable school in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teachers. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students engage in meaningful learning activities.
Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and activities provided by teaching staff.
Providing support to students in their learning and addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
Reporting back on student behaviour and progress to relevant teaching staff.
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistency in educational provision.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behaviour.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas and with students of varying ages and abilities.
Passion for education and a commitment to fostering student learning and development.
