Job Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Spalding

Contract: Long-term, Temporary (opportunities to go permanent for the right candidate)

Salary: From £550 Per week

As a Higher level teaching assistant in an alternative provision, you'll be at the forefront of nurturing and guiding year 10 and year 11 students through their educational journey. This long-term, temporary position offers the potential for permanency for the right candidate. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and leadership within a smaller class setting, with no more than 8 students per class.

Key Responsibilities:

Motivate the pupils and promote and reinforce self esteem.

Provide support for pupils experiencing emotional/behavioural crisis

Support pupils and encourage them to make the appropriate choices about their behaviour

Establish and maintain professional working relationships with students and staff

Be fully aware and of the school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding

Key Requirements:

Experience working with children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs is essential.

Strong behavior management skills are crucial, as you'll be working with students who may present challenging behaviors.

Resilience is a must-have trait to thrive in this role.

A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification is desirable or alternative teaching qualifications

Possession of a driving license is preferred, though not required.
