We are looking for a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support our schools teaching staff and enhance the learning experience of the children. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, providing essential support in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons. The HLTA will also be responsible for guiding and supervising students during class activities and assisting with the overall classroom management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in the development of lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
• Supervise students during lessons, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
• Support classroom management and assist with behaviour management strategies.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of children’s progress.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a similar role in an educational setting.
• Relevant qualifications and certifications in education or child development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
