Course Description

The new Virtual Questioning for Engagement course (2 hours) aims to explore how we can avoid off-task behaviours by using questioning effectively to involve learners in the thinking throughout the lesson. From over 1100 observations of Simply Education supply staff, our Education Development Mangers have seen a wide range of great questioning strategies in use and we share that good practice. In addition we share how to avoid the poorer practice we have seen, practice that often only involves a few pupils and leads to frustration and boredom in others. All of our courses are complemented by supporting documents and, in addition, we give you access to over 220 of our Teaching Skill Resources.A web-link to a Zoom meeting will be sent to you (after you book on to the training through Eventbrite), along with an email explaining the format of the training, and an attachment to be read beforehand.
