Job Title: Design and Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are partnering with a prominent secondary school in Coventry to find a passionate DT Teacher who will inspire and educate students in the field of Design and Technology.
Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic DT Teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The ideal candidate will have experience in a UK secondary school or be a recent graduate. Consideration will also be given to candidates with relevant experience in the sector. The successful candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum for Design and Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and innovative DT lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking.
• Utilize effective teaching methods to enhance students' design and practical skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the DT curriculum.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Design and Technology.
Requirements:
• PGCE in Design and Technology Education.
• Valid DBS check.
• Ideally, experience working in a UK secondary school or set to graduate this year.
• Experience in the sector will be considered.
• Knowledge of the national curriculum for Design and Technology.
Skills and Qualities:
• Passionate about Design and Technology education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of Design and Technology concepts.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
