Job Title: Design and Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Rugby
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum
About Us: Simply Education, a renowned education recruitment consultancy, is collaborating with a respected secondary school in Rugby to find a dedicated and innovative DT Teacher who will inspire students in the field of Design and Technology.
Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic DT Teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The ideal candidate will have experience in a UK secondary school or will be graduating this year. Industry experience will also be considered. Knowledge of the national curriculum for Design and Technology is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and innovative DT lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking.
• Utilize effective teaching methods to enhance students' design and practical skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the DT curriculum.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Design and Technology.
Requirements:
• PGCE in Design and Technology Education.
• Valid DBS check.
• Ideally, experience working in a UK secondary school or set to graduate this year.
• Industry experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of the national curriculum for Design and Technology.
