Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, on a long-term basis starting in April. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of geography.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and delivering high-quality geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Inspiring students to develop a love for geography through creative and interactive teaching methods.
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the wider success of the geography department and the school community.
Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the educational experience of students.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Specialism in Geography or relevant subject area.
Proven experience teaching geography at secondary level, with a track record of achieving positive outcomes for students.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for sharing your enthusiasm for geography with young learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
