Job Role: KS4 SEND Teacher

Location: Spalding

Contract: Full-Time, Long-term. Temporary with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

Salary: From £600 Per Week

As a KS4 Class Teacher in an alternative provision, you'll be at the forefront of nurturing and guiding year 10 and year 11 students through their educational journey. This long-term, temporary position offers the potential for permanency for the right candidate. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support and leadership within a smaller class setting, with no more than 8 students per class.

Key Responsibilities:

Building Positive Relationships: Establishing trusting and positive relationships with students is essential. You should create a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel safe to express themselves and seek help when needed.

Implementing Behaviour Management Strategies: As the class lead, you will implement behaviour management strategies, outlined in both the school's behaviour policy and the students' behaviour support plans. This may involve using techniques such as positive reinforcement, de-escalation strategies and conflict resolution skills.

Supporting Inclusion: As a class lead, you will help promote inclusion by facilitating the participation of students with needs in various classroom and school activities. This may include the modification of activities and assignments to ensure accessibility for all students.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in with students with additional needs would be preferred.

Strong behaviour management skills are essential to this role as you will be working with students who will present challenging behaviour.

Resilience and empathy are essential

QTS or a relevant teaching qualification.

Driving License would be preferred, however this is not essential.
