Role: PMLD Teaching Assistant  

Salary: 375 - 425 Per week

Location: Winsford

Start Date: Flexible

Contract: Full-time, Long-term contract

 

Simply Education is currently working in partnership with a SEND provision in Winsford that supports students aged between 2-19 with complex learning, medical and physical needs. The provision aims to establish a family feel where each students needs is individually catered for and milestones are celebrated. Class sizes are roughly 4 – 6 students per class. Learning is focused on promoting independence and following the student’s individual pathway which is informed from the students EHCP and arising needs. The school also has additional facilities for their students including a hydrotherapy pool and Physiotherapy centre.  

The setting is Ofsted rated outstanding setting where staff’s wellbeing is prioritised. The school has measures in place to ensure that an effective work life balance is established for all their staff. There is a possibility for the position becoming a permanent role for the right candidate. Due to the nature of the role someone with prior experience in a SEND or Caring background would be ideal for the position. Alternatively, someone with knowledge of the EYFS framework would be beneficial.

- To support students to access their learning.

- Support the students to become re-engaged with their learning.

Key Requirements:

- An understanding of SEMH needs

- Knowledge and understanding of vocational education.

- Strong communication skills.

- Resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students.

- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Driving license and access to own transport is desirable.
