We are looking for an enthusiastic Youth Support Worker to provide 1:1 assistances and work is small groups in a local school!

Simply Education are looking for a Youth Support Worker to join our Northamptonshire team to help students and young adults thrive, develop and improve. As a Youth support Worker, you will be assisting students settling into school that might find this challenging, as well as supporting emotional, social and behaviour challenges. Within your role as a Youth Support Worker you will be supporting a lot of students with trauma and different learning difficulties that they find challenging.

Key Responsibilities of a Youth support Worker:

- Providing in-class support including behaviour modelling, social skills facilitation and modifying instructions/activities.

- Implementing tailored interventions to develop the child's emotional regulation, interaction skills and self-esteem.

- Encouraging participation in classroom tasks and relationships using positive reinforcement techniques.

- Supporting independence through use of visual aids, prompts and scaffolding.

- Accompanying the pupil during unstructured times such as lunch/break times.

- Liaising with the teacher, SENCO and other professionals about the child's needs and progress.

- Maintaining observational records to inform multi-disciplinary teamwork.

The ideal Youth Support Worker will be patient, empathetic and resilient with a knowledge of behavioural strategies and SEND. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

Salary : £90 - 110 a day

Contract : Daily Cover / Long Term Roles Available

Hours : 8:30 till 4:30 - Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will be required to:

- Subject to two years of satisfactory references
