Teaching is more than just a white board and putting your hand up. Teaching is 1:1 support, teaching is running intervention groups and giving students that extra push to achieve the best of their ability.
Therefore, there is an ever-growing need for extra support staff within the classroom. Simply Education have partnered with several schools across Rugby, Daventry & Northampton who are in need of teaching assistants, learning support assistants and general student support.
The roles vary from school to school, but you will be required to support students of different abilities, ages from 11-16 and work with children with behavioural management issues. There is a variety of subjects schools are looking for support with so some sort of expertise in a subject would be desirable but not essential.
The requirements:
• Experience working with children
• Experience working in a UK primary or secondary school
• Degree in any subject – desirable
• Evidence of recent professional development
• Evidence of raising levels of achievement and attainment
• Experience of working in a high pressure environment
• Maintaining a high standard of teaching and learning
• Curriculum issues and development
• Improvement – raising achievement.
