A new opportunity has become available in the Kettering area for a Teaching Assistant for SEN needs. We are looking to expand our dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant team to support our local schools in need.

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for SEN needs for a purpose-built secondary school catering for students aged 11-19 years with severe and complex learning disabilities. As a Teaching Assistant for SEN needs you will work on a 1:1 or small group basis to support students with personal care needs and enable them to fully access the tailored curriculum.

Salary : £90 - 110 a day

Contract : Daily Cover / Long Term Roles Available

Title : Teaching Assistant SEN

Hours : 8:30 till 4:30 - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

- Assisting students with personal care needs

- Supporting students' learning using specialised communication strategies, assistive technology and adapted activities.

- Engaging students in sensory exploration, soft play and enrichment activities appropriate to their level of development.

- Supporting students during therapeutics sessions, hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.

- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to multi-disciplinary meetings.

- Building positive relationships with students to promote their wellbeing, independence and self-esteem.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people with SEND is preferred. Full training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be required to:

- Subject to two years of satisfactory references

- An Enhanced DBS check
