Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 or Level 2 Childcare qualification to join our growing team! A local SEN School are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them to support the needs of their school and the children.
You will be providing 1-on-1 or small group support to students who require additional assistance in understanding lessons, completing classwork or homework assignments, practicing skills etc. As teaching assistant this will often involve working with students with special educational needs. The Teaching assistant will assist students in specific subject areas like reading, writing, maths and science as directed by the classroom teacher. You will be helping explain or reinforce concepts, supervise practice activities, answer questions.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
-Experience working with young people
-Strong classroom management abilities
-Confidence using technology and educational programs/apps
-Creativity, patience and enthusiasm for working with young students
Key responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant include:
-Providing classroom support to teachers during lessons
-Working one-on-one or in small groups to deliver tailored instruction
-Assisting with reading, writing, Maths and other subjects
-Preparing classroom materials and learning activities
-Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
-Managing student behaviour and upholding classroom rules
-Supervising classrooms, lunch breaks, and school activities as needed
We are looking for an engaging, caring Teaching Assistant committed to fostering a positive learning environment. Teaching Assistant should be comfortable with a varied schedule and duties supporting classroom teacher.
The successful candidate must provide:
Two years of satisfactory references
An Enhanced DBS check.
Complete a 10 year work history on an application form before interview
