Teaching Assistant

£95 a day
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 or Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification to join our growing team. We are working with a local SEMH School seeking the right individual to join them full time to support classes across KS3 and KS4.
You will be providing 1-to-1 and small group support to students who require additional assistance in understanding lessons and completing classwork. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students with special educational needs assisting with specific subject areas including reading, writing, Maths and Science whilst taking direction from the class Teacher. You will be helping to explain the work, supervise practice activities and answer questions to support students in their learning.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with young people with ADHD and Autism
- Strong classroom management skills
- Confidence using technology and educational programmes
- Creativity, patience and enthusiasm for working with young students
Key responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant include:
- Providing classroom support to teachers during lessons
- Working one-on-one or in small groups to deliver tailored instruction
- Assisting with reading, writing, Maths and other subjects
- Preparing classroom materials and learning activities
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback
- Managing student behaviour and upholding classroom rules
- Supervising classrooms, lunch breaks, and school activities as needed
We are looking for an engaging, caring Teaching Assistant committed to fostering a positive learning environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be comfortable with a varied schedule and duties supporting the class teacher.
The successful candidate must provide:
Two years of satisfactory references
10 year work history on our online application form
An Enhanced DBS check
