Job Title: Teaching Assistant in a Specialist Setting.

Location: Scunthorpe

Salary: Starting from £430 per week

Start Date: April 2024

Contract: Temporary with opportunities to go permanent for the right candidate.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs? Simply Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in the Scunthorpe area starting in April.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be providing invaluable support to students with diverse needs, including social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your role will involve working closely with these students in a specialist setting, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Role and Responsibilities:

Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a specialist educational setting.

Utilise excellent behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.

Work closely with teaching staff to implement individualised support plans for students.

Provide assistance during lessons, ensuring students are engaged and supported in their learning.

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is preferred.

Experience in managing challenging behaviour is essential.

Possess excellent behaviour management strategies.

Hold a full, clean driving license (preferred).

Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships.

Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
