We are seeking an empathetic and motivated Teaching Assistant interested in working with SEMH needs. The Teaching Assistant will be expected to provide critical support to students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges. In this full-time role, you will work closely with our team to enable students to develop confidence, resilience, and coping skills.

Within this role as a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting children with mental health challenges, behaviour difficulties and social limitations. As a Teaching Assistant in this school, you will be a trusted role model and it is vital we are ensuring the children are safe and have access to the learning available. On occasion you may be asked to support children on 1-1 or in small groups in their learning or to help them self-regulated.

Salary : £90 - 110 a day

Contract : Daily Cover / Long Term Roles Available

Hours : 8:30 till 4:30 - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

Provide 1-on-1 and small group interventions to support students' SEMH development

Help implement personalized strategies and behaviour plans tailored to each student's needs

Build trusting relationships with students through active listening and compassion

Teach and model positive social skills, emotion regulation, conflict resolution, and coping techniques

Collaborate with teachers to integrate SEMH-promoting activities into the classroom

Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed

Maintain detailed records on interventions, student behaviours, progress, and communications

Requirements:

Experience working with in education

Strong communication, creativity, patience, and problem-solving abilities

Dedication to nurturing students' wellbeing and personal growth.

The successful candidate will be required to:

- Subject to two years of satisfactory references

- An Enhanced DBS check
