Job Title: Fully Qualified Maths Teacher

Location: Congleton

Salary: 28,000 – 34,000

Contract: Full-time, Long-term contract OR Permanent options

Simply Education is seeking a Qualified Maths Teachers to work in partnership with our Congleton based school. The school supports both Primary and secondary aged students to access tailored learning opportunities that focus on the students interests and needs. As a Maths Teacher you will be working on a 2:1 or 1:1 basis with the support of a teaching assistant to provide bespoke learning opportunities of students that have been out of a formal learning environment for an extended period. As a Maths Teacher your main aim will be to rebuild trust and rapport with your student with an aim to build their self-esteem, confidence, resilience and reignite them in their learning. Please note that this role does include an element of transporting students and therefore you would need to add business insurance to your insurance policy.

The school supports their students to access bespoke learning opportunities that focus on the students' interests as well as gaining core qualifications such as SAT's or GCSES. Additionally, the school offers several vocational study options including beauty and catering and utilises the local area to develop life skills to ensure that students are ready for the next step in their educational journey so that they can live fulfilled adult lives. As a Maths specialist you will take an active role in supporting other tutors across the setting to ensure that high quality pedagogy is implemented consistently across the setting.

The successful Maths Teacher must be empathetic and nurturing in their approach and able to model and promote high behaviour expectations. It is vital that you can communicate effectively and build rapport and common interests with the students to inspire and motivate them.

Occasionally there is an element of travel associated with this role so a clean UK driving license is desirable, school generously contributes towards the costs associated with fuel. Additionally, the school has additional funding available to access when planning excursions with your student, meaning you have full flexibility to support your student's needs. Key Requirements:

• An understanding of working with disengaged students.

• QTS – Mathematics

• Strong communication skills.

• Resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students.

• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Driving license and access to own transport is desirable.
